Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon is een Nationaal Park gelegen in het zuidwesten van de Amerikaanse staat Utah. Bryce Canyon is beroemd om zijn unieke geologische rotsformaties. Door de samenwerkende krachten van vriezen en dooien worden de kalk- en zandsteenformaties langzaam geërodeerd en vormen zo de zogenaamde hoodoos. De afgesleten toppen zorgen voor prachtige formaties die in het zonlicht erg mysterieus lijken. De zon zorgt voor schakeringen van de kleuren van de rotsen. De kleuren variëren van roze naar oranje. Het is een onderdeel van de Grand Staircase.
Het park dankt zijn naam aan de Mormoonse pionier Ebenezer Bryce, die van 1875 tot 1880 aan de voet van Bryce Canyon woonde. In 1924 werd het gebied uitgeroepen tot nationaal park. In vroeger tijden was de Bryce Canyon een nachtmerrie voor veedrijvers; het was ondoenlijk in dit gebied een overzicht over de kudde te behouden.

Il lago di Telese è un lago situato nel comune di Telese Terme ai confini con quello di Solopaca, nella valle del fiume Calore, in provincia di Benevento. Località turistica, oggi simbolo della cittadina.
Formatosi a seguito del terremoto del 1349. È di origine carsica e ha una forma circolare, un perimetro di 840 metri e una profondità compresa tra i 20 e i 30 metri; la superficie misura circa 49.000 metri quadrati.
Soprattutto negli anni Settanta e Ottanta, era una meta preferita di tantissimi turisti, per pic-nic, passeggiate, pesca e balneazione. In quegli anni era presente anche una piccola piscina con la relativa spiaggetta per i bagnanti. La balneazione era resa più sicura dalla presenza di un presidio dei vigili del fuoco, con la relativa barca di salvataggio. Una caratteristica del lago è quella di essere relativamente profondo già presso la riva, fatto che ha provocato anche degli incidenti. Presso il lago sono presenti altre tre strutture: un motel-ristorante-bar, un bar e un ristorante-pizzeria. Oggi è diventato più che altro un luogo ameno e tranquillo, che si affolla molto solo in particolari giornate dell'anno.

Technique:
The camera was on a tripod and remotely triggered. Shot Manual, kept a very high F number (F/22) and a 1/8 second exposure...with an ND filter to cut the exposure and to get the sense of blurred motion on the waves. Shot Wide.
